Is it really already the end of May?

My goodness, it's hard to believe that June is right around the corner. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by already. This past weekend was a long one, and it was so nice to have that extra day off on Monday! We attempted to go out with Chris' fam on the boat, and we succeeded until we got chased off Horsetooth Lake by the rain around 1pm. But even though it was freezin for most of the morning, it was SO NICE to be back out on the water and on a boat for the first time so far this year! AND weather-permitting, we might be able to try again this coming weekend when it's supposed to be nicer!

Quick biz update before I follow up with pics...the wedding went very well on Saturday. The bride could not have been nicer or easier to work with, and Chris should be wrapping up the editing today and sending it out! Also, we now have 2 weddings booked for NEXT weekend, one on Sat and one on Sun! So, praise God for that! :) LOVE U ALL!!!!!

Celebrating Chris' Bday

We celebrated Chris' 31st bday last weekend with our Small Group at the local bowling alley. We had a blast, and though I couldn't surprise Chris with the "event," thanks to a friend from church who is an AMAZING cake decorator, I was able to at least surprise him with a Raiders cake. And as you can see, it turned out AWESOME, and Chris LOVED it!

Pics follow this, but I also wanted to give you a quick update on things to pray for...Chris has his very first wedding this weekend, and he should find out sometime this week if he got that Hotel A/V job or not. I will keep you posted.

Update

4 those of u who did not know already, a quick update of a few new things going on w/ the biz....

*Thanks to our good friend Lindsey who passed on our info to her recently engaged sister, Chris booked another wedding for Aug 15th (wooooooo hooooooooo!!!!!)

*Chris interviewed yesterday for a job with a local A/V company. We both have very mixed emotions about this. Money-wise, it'd be great, BUT we don't want Chris' focus to waver from the biz. But Chris said he felt good about the interview, and the guys are supposed to let him know either way by next Friday. So, truly our prayer is just that the Lord's will be done - WHATEVER that is - and that, in turn, we would have COMPLETE peace about however it works out.

*And though he will kill me if he knows I posted these on here, I just HAVE to share a couple pics of him in his fancy suit from the interview. Note: I have NEVER before seen him in a suit and tie (or even JUST a tie) :) So I was very excited to see how very handsome he looks (but obviously that IS the case all the time, not just in a suit and tie)

Our Very First Wedding

The Lord is so good, and it is ONLY by His grace that I can say that Chris will be filming his very first wedding at the end of this month! How AWESOME is that? We are so very excited and so very thankful! Thank YOU all for all your prayers! And the girl sounds so very sweet and thankful for us to be doing it, and I think it's just going to be such a fun time! It's a Western Chic wedding, so everyone will be in jeans and boots and such, AND we get a free dinner out of it, as well. And you all know how much I LOVE free stuff! woohoo
Anyways, we can't thank you enough for your prayers and just would ask that you continue to join us in asking the Lord to open more doors from this first wedding (and first insurance video, too).
We love you and will keep you posted!

PLEASE PRAY!!!!!!! We have gotten TWO emails in the last 2 days from 2 brides that might possibly want Chris to film their weddings. And one of them is THIS MONTH, which would be so amazing! Please join us in praying for these opportunities and more. Will update you when we know anything more! Thank you, Lord for these potential open doors!!!!!!!

Update

So, Chris got there this morning at 10:50am and called at 11:24 on his way out. WOW! He said it went very well - very smoothly and was very simple. He said the lady and her husband were both there, and they seemed very pleased with the job he did. YEA! Thank you, Lord! And thanks to all of you who have been praying for this as well! We're so blessed to have such wonderful, prayerful friends and to have such an amazing and loving Father who cares about every little detail of our lives!!!!!

BIG DAY!

Ok, people today is Chris' first REAL job as a videographer! Please join me in prayer that it'd go wonderfully and that God would open doors from this first job!
Will update you later on how things went. It's at 11am this morning, and I am so excited and a little nervous, too! :)
Also, could you please be praying for me as I "handle" all the finances? Just about once a week (if not more) I look at our budget and FREAK OUT! And I stress and take it out on my poor husband! So please just be praying with me that I can TRULY put all of that in God's hands and LEAVE IT THERE and trust in Him wholeheartedly to provide everything we need!
