Sorry I havent posted anything in a while. The time has been flying by. Which I am very thankful for, in a way, because I have a 1.5 week vacation coming up for the Holidays! yea!
Just wanted to post a few pics (cuz everybody likes to read things with pics, right?) and tell you what's been up with us lately....
Well since my last post, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with the DeGroot and Middleton fam. AND the Cowboys won, so that made for a PERFECT day in whole! :)
We also made a trip halfway up into the mountains. :) We wanted to go up to Breckenridge, but the weather and traffic was HORRIBLE, so we only made it to a cute, lil town on the way up, called Georgetown. We walked around, purchased some yummy, homemade caramel corn & had some lunch.
Chris and I are in the choir for our church's Christmas program, so we have been practicing alot for that. And doing other church activities like meeting with our small group, and I went to a Ladies Christmas Party this week, which was a blast!
Chris' work has been pretty unstable and sporadic. He'll work everyday one week and then NO days the next but have to work from dawn til dusk that Saturday. So please continue to pray for us and him as we try to figure out what to do about his job situation. Chris is really not sure if this is something he wants to do long-term or not. AND I will let you in a little secret so you can also be praying specifically for this.....Chris is thinking about going back to school to be a radiographer. This is the person who does ultrasounds and such.
Ok, that's it for now. Love you all. Until next post...... :)

A Few Family Pics
So the Middletons and DeGroots got all dressed up in matching colors and decided to take some family pics up by the pond behind Bill & Patti's house yesterday. Hopefully, I can add more later of the whole fam, but for now, I just have a few that we took with our camera....

Quick Update
Well, here in the CO foothills, we finally got our first snow of the winter. Though, as you can see from the pics, it was barely a dusting. And sadly enough, it doesn't look as though more will be coming anytime soon. Darn global warming!!!! :) haha
Just wanted to give everyone a quick update but there's not really much to tell. We have just been working, eating, sleeping and throwing a few church functions in there. It seems as though Chris and I will be joining the choir for the Christmas Show at our church, and we have really been digging deeper with our small group, too.
Well, I suppose that it is for now. I just didn't want anyone to continually be disappointed with no new posts, if you were one of the few regular checkers! :) Have a blessed weekend!

Texas
So from last Wednesday through yesterday, we were in TX. We went for the Nascar races at the TX Motor Speedway and also got to catch up with a few friends and fam members too. So some pics are posted following this post, but I did not do captions for any of them or organize them cuz I really hate the way this silly blog is setup and just don't have the patience right now to make the time to organize everything and make it look all pretty. So I do apologize for that but hope that you still enjoy the pics. :)
Before we get to that, though, I will give you a brief rundown of our time in TX....
We got there on Wed night and my dad and lil sis, Autumn picked us up.
On Thursday we ran around like mad.....we had lunch with Autumn at Burleson HS, stopped by to see my friend Amanda (and her precious pregnant belly) at her work, saw my grandparents in Wfd and did a lil driving around to see all the new stuff out there along with some old places that I got to show Chris. Then we had dinner with my friend Melissa and her fiancee, Derek in Joshua and then met dad, his wife, belinda and Autumn at On the Border.
Friday, we slept in a lil and did a lil shopping at the local WalMart for some Cowboys apparel for me since all we can get here is STUPID broncos stuff-YUCK! Then we headed to the Speedway and looked at the tons of things they had outside as far as booths, activities and shopping go. That was fun, and then we watched the Nationwide and Cup Series qualify. Then we headed to Arlington to see the prgoress on the new (and HUGE and AMAZING) Cowboys Stadium, and had a lil Taco Bueno for dinner-one of my FAVE places to eat in the entire world!
Saturday, we got up and headed to the Speedway for the Nationwide Race. And we baked like lil eggs in the TX sun. It was Nov 1st, and it was 90 DEGREES!!!!! Then we headed to my friend, Kellye's, new and gorgeous house in grand Prairie to see some of my college friends, Dave and Allison, who had come in from Abilene and to have a lil post-Halloween Costume Party.
Sunday, our friends made us a yummy breakfast and we headed to the Big Race. It was hot again, but we had a good time! And it only took us 2 hours to get home after the race in the traffic! Which is awful, but if you know anything about that part of the metroplex, esp during race weekends, 2 hours is not too shabby! :)
Monday, dad took off so we had some lunch with him before we headed to the airport, and well, that's about it! :)
We had a blast and the time off was VERY NICE! Hope you like the pictures!!!!! :) ...........

As you will see below, we went to a Costume Party last weekend and had a blast! We have been so blessed to have found a great church with great people that are becoming our very good friends! So, I hope you enjoy the pictures! :)
And tomorrow, we head to TX for the big Nascar weekend! For Chris' 30th bday, back in May, I bought him tickets to the race at the Texas Motor Speedway, so we head out on Wed night and will be in TX until Monday. We are very excited about the races, seeing fam and friends and getting away for 5 whole days (woohoo), so check back sometime next week for lots more pics from that (hopefully). :)
Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lake Charles, Louisiana
We had a great weekend in LA with my sister, bro-in-law and my 2 nephews! We got to see both of my boys play football on Saturday, and then we went for a drive and saw a bit of the remaining destruction from the hurricanes. We also got to take a ferry (the trip was free and the distance was about 100 yards), and we saw some cool ships and tons of dolphins (that was really cool, but I couldn't quite catch the darn things on camera). We played some games throughout the weekend (including Chris getting demolished by my 10-yr-old nephew, Coby, on PS2's NCAA Football-heehee), watched the Cowboys LOSE :( on Sunday, went to church, etc. We had a blast and it was so nice to see my fam since it had been since 2007! :( We also got to see their new house which is huge and totally cool. Houses down there are so different from up here; plus, they live in an older neighborhood, so that makes a big difference too. We also had some yummy Cajun cuisine, too. So, that’s' the story and here are some pics....
Caden's game, he's the one with the stylish black socks ;)
Coby's game; he scored a TD!
sweaty boys in the car after games
just one of many turtles outside a wildlife refuge that was closed
an alligator (one of a few we saw), just chillin on the side of the road
Holly Beach, LA, what a GREAT name for a town! :)
trying to get the dolphins in the pic, but here's a cool boat that passed as we were waiting on the ferry
yes, Caden fell asleep in the car like this! heehee
Sunday morning before church and look what Chris convinces the boys to do ;) (he also got a lil play time in before they went to school on Mon morning; talk about a bad influence! :)
Aggie, their cat; she is SOOOOO CUTE!
Chris playing with AggieCajun for lunch! It was yummy! A lil different, but yummy!
Fam pics!
Aggie thwarting my attempts to pack! :)
