Long Weekend

So, we finally got the blizzard that I have been hoping for all winter long. Kinda funny that it came after the official 1st day of spring, but hey, it came. The Lord totally kept me safe on my way home from work early on Thursday, in VERY UNSAFE driving conditions. And then I also took off on Friday as well. So, I basically had a 3.5 day long weekend, and it was WONDERFUL! We had a weekend of fun (and all free-yea!) things including indoor rock climbing, bowling, dinner with the fam, dinner with friends, and Chris had his first hockey game. He joined a league along with some of my guy co-workers, and he is VERY EXCITED to be playing again. And you know what? Now that I think about it, it didn't even strike me to take a pic at any point while we were at the rink or during the game, but perhaps I can get some and post them after the next game!

We took Chris' nephew, Jacob, to a hockey game for his b-day...

Both "boys" had to have snacks during the game :) Chris had a funnel cake and Jacob had BLUE cotton candy

Since I am the queen of free stuff (seriously, I even have a list of different places that you can go online and sign up for newsletters and get free stuff from places like Red Robin, Mimi's Cafe, Quizno's etc....if you want that doc, I'd be happy to email it to you, just lemme know), we had free game play cards from Dave & Buster's, so we went there kinda for my b-day since I had never been before and had always wanted to go.

Of course, we had to play the NASCAR game. :)

So I was 48, yep, I beat Chris at a NASCAR game, and not only that, but I beat him TWO times in a row! :)

Well, the Lord sure is quick sometimes. Chris just got off the phone with unemployment, and he will be eligible for 5 more months of benefits! PRAISE GOD!
