Weekend Plans

This weekend we are headed to New Mexico with Chris' fam to play on Lake Conchas and relax. I am sooooooo excited! We are heading out tonight after work (Thurs) and driving back on Monday (which, btw, is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, hopefully I will come back with at least a few pics to share!
Just a quick update on the job front...Chris has been searching everyday and putting the word out, but nothing has come up just yet. We are just being patient and prayerful and know that the Lord is going to bless Chris with a good job, in HIS timing. Next week, Chris will start collecting Unemployment which is SUCH a blessing because that money will allow us to stay afloat and keep up on all of our bills, rent and even give us a TINY bit of spending money every month. And we just give the Lord all the glory for that blessing.
Please keep praying for the job situation and for patience and discernment for us, and I will continue with any updates!

God is Good!!!!!!

On Tuesday I got a call from Chris saying that he had just been fired! Honestly, as upsetting as this was for both of us, not only had we been expecting this, but in a way, it was relieving for him to have finally been free of that awful job, in that awful environment, working for those AWFUL people.
However, the Lord is so amazingly good, and it looks as though Chris may have already found another job! WOW, it is so humbling to have such a good Father! His timing is so perfect, and He is so very wonderful to us, and I just wanted to give Him ALL the glory for this! How He always manages to take care of us truly leaves me speechless sometimes!
So, those of you that were praying with us during this time, thank you so much! And if this new job does pan out, I will tell you all about it soon!

Cowboys Game

So, my new boss knew from my screensaver and Cowboys blanket that I like the Cowboys. And they just happen to be playing the Denver Broncos in the pre season this past Sat. And my boss just happens to have season tickets to the Broncos games. So he offered me his tickets for Saturday night's game. SWEET!!!!! Yet another perk of my new job. And did i mention that he gave them to me for free? So, anyhow, I know it's hard to believe, but I actually took some pics while we were there. Only one of us, of course, but hey, won't it be nice to have some pics on here at all, for a change???? :)

Calling All Prayer Warriors

I don't know how much I have previously mentioned about Chris' yucky job, but if there is anyone out there looking for something extra to pray about ;), please join Chris and I in praying that the Lord would provide him with a good job working for a good company!
We will keep you posted about what the Lord is doing!

11 Months

So, I do not, as you can see, have any pictures to add yet, but I did want to just update you on life...Chris and I have now been married for just a lil over 11 months! WOW, I can't believe it! In some ways being married is so natural and in others, especially when i really sit back and look at it, it is CRAZY to think that I have only known Chris for less than 2 years and also crazy that I'm married period!
But we do love married life! It's such a blessing to have someone to share everything with, and it's so exciting to think about having him around for hopefully 11 more months times 50 or so! :) Depending on how long the Lord leaves us both here to deal with each other! hee! hee!
So, in celebration of our 1st anniversary, we are going to spend a weekend in Kansas City! I am so excited! We're going to stay at a really nice hotel with a great view of downtown, and we get to go to the Raiders vs. Chiefs NFL game on Sunday! So, we are both very excited, and HOPEFULLY, I will have some pictures to share with you then, if not sooner!
