Just wanted to give you the latest on All Around Productions! :) Do you like that?
So, the loan didn't come through for us, which isn't really all that surprising, but what is funny about it is that the couple of places we tried all said that we needed to have an established income from the company. Weird, huh? We were thinking that is kind of hard since we are trying to get a START UP BUSINESS loan! :) Anyways, luckily Chris' parents not only have amazing credit, but they are VERY supportive of this decision and are helping us start out. How blessed we are, huh?
So, we have a new computer, the editing software, business cards, a WIP (work in progress) website (www.allaroundproductions.biz - i will let you know when it is up and going so you can check it out, give suggestions, etc), one of the cameras, and alot of word of mouth ads going around.
We are so very excited and still so very nervous and anxious about this. BUT we are just trying to give it all up to the Lord. In all reality, this is HIS, and we are just here for Him to use it and us to shine His light into people's lives.
So, keep praying, and I will keep you posted!

Big Undertaking
Okay, people, so some of you will be surprised by this and some will not, but Chris and I have just decided to start our own business. Well, actually it'll be Chris' work, and I will stay where I am for quite a bit more, I would imagine. All Around Productions will offer video services for weddings, birthdays, business meetings, and anything else anyone could possibly want filmed and/or edited.
So, we are currently in the process of applying for a small business loan to purchase video equipment, editing hardware and software, etc. And then we will work on getting the word out that we are here to work.
So, please be praying about this with us. I am SO NERVOUS, but if this does pan out, I really think it'll be something that Chris can enjoy, be passionate about, a place where he can be a positive influence for the Lord to many different people, and hopefully something he can do until he retires instead of just "the next thing" on his resume until something better comes along.
We're excited and will keep you posted!

Sorry...AGAIN!!!!
...for the delay in posts. I watch other people's posts, so I know how annoying it is when there is nothing new to read or new pics to look at! :)
I am slowly getting back into the groove of things again with our usual schedule after such a nice, long break over the Holidays.
Our church's Christmas Program went great. The pics following this post didn't turn out very well, but I will post them anyways. Our robes were HOT, as you will see! :) haha
We had a pretty busy month of December with Christmas parties, Christmas programs, etc. But it was a good month, and we had a blast the last couple of weeks when we were both off. We had our small group over for New Year's Eve (our gracious in-laws let us use their casa since they were down in NM). It was so much fun, and even Jasmine got to have a lil play date with one of the other dogs, Keenan.
We also painted our living room (pics follow). That wasn't "fun," but it looks very nice now, and it wasn't too horrible (at least the first day of it, anyways). :)
Well, I think that about sums our December up for ya! Hope everyone is having a good 2009 so far. We'll be in touch!
XOXO
