Trip to Arkansas

Chris and I got off from CO just in time before a snow storm hit, BUT we were going 45 mph on the Interstate pretty much from Denver until the Kansas border. So, after driving all night (Chris did all the driving, bless his heart), we got to mom's 17 hours later. Boy, were we exhausted. Chris fell asleep immediately after mom gave us a very quick tour of her house and slept for 2 1/2 hours, while I could NOT fall asleep. So I just drug myself around all day and ended up falling in and out of consciousness throughout the day. :) Terrible, I know.
On Sunday, we went to church with mom, and I got to see alot of wonderful ppl I knew when I lived in AR, and right after church, mom treated us to a movie, the sequel to National treasure. If you haven't seen it, and you liked the 1st one, GO SEE IT! It is GREAT! Then we went bowling, and each of the 3 of us won once. Chris bowled the worst 3 games of his life and was not too thrilled. :) And THEN we went back to the movies (mom LOVES going to 2 movies in one day) and saw I Am Legend. And we all really liked that. And at first, I was telling other "fraidy" cats like me that it was fine to go see, but I have been having crazy dreams and been seeing mutants in the dark at night. SO, if you are like me, I would actually not recommend that you see it, but it was really good!
So, after that we just kinda chilled Sun night and all day Monday, then we headed out to TX on Christmas Day morning. And I will tell you all about that in my next post..............and in the meantime, here are a few pics

We're Back!

Well, since we had quite the adventure over the past few weeks, I thought I would post a little a few times this week to catch you up. Instead of posting one very long "essay." AND please don't hate me, but after being with my entire family and traveling and doing all sorts of things, I only managed to get about 10 pictures! SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, please forgive me for that, but I will post at least a few of those 10 and write more about our holidays later this week....Happy New Year!

Ho Hum

Well, as I warned you, our lives are kinda boring to an "outsider" (no insult intended), but I just thought I'd update everyone on our upcoming Holiday plans. This Fri (the 21st), we will be heading to Cabot, AR to visit my mom. We have plans to go see the new National Treasure sequel, to highlight my hair (woohoo), and to go bowling at Cabot's new Premium Bowling Alley. :) Then, on the morning of the 25th, we will drive down to TX and have the Scott Family Christmas at my grandparents' in Weatherford. Chris will get to meet my 2 aunts and uncles on my dad's side! Then we will hangout with dad, Belinda and my lil sister, Autumn until sometime the end of that week. So, we should be back to CO sometime no later than Sunday eve (30th). And then Chris and I will have our very first New Year's Eve together and not have to go back to work until the 2nd of January! We are VERY EXCITED about this long break and about getting to see everyone. So, it's highly possible that I won't write anything again until that first week of Jan. BUT don't give up on our blog, ok? :)
Happy Holidays, everyone! We love you all very much!

I Promised You Pictures.....

Friday in Old Town Fort Collins

COG Railroad in Manitou Springs

Olympic Training Center

Can't figure out how to turn these silly things...argh! Anyways, this is Kel and Jasmine again cuddling in the back of the car :)

What we came home to Sat night

For those of you reading this wondering why my husband is only in one of these pictures, believe me, it was not for lack of trying on my and Kel's part to get him in pictures. In fact, Kel is quite the photographer and offered many times to take Christmas pictures of us in the snow, but NOOOOOOOO Chris wouldn't do it! :) BUT rest assured that when I do manage to get him in some pics, you will be the first to see them!

Morning Surprise

Our second snow of the season came esp for Kellye this morning, and it is beautiful! Just after having a record high temp for the day on Tues of 72, which melted any remaining snow from Thanksgiving, we got another "coating." I promise to post pictures after this weekend! Have a good one!

Kellye Visits

Not that I am counting or anything, but one of my bestest friends in the whole world is coming to visit us today, and she will be here in less than 11 hours from now! AND she will get to meet Chris for the very first time. So, let's all pray that they like each other, cuz neither one of them is going anywhere in my life. :) hee!hee! i don't think they could possibly not like each other, because I adore them both, and they are both AMAZING ppl!
So, I will try and get some good pictures of her visit on here early next week. We have a lot of fun things planned including a trip down to Colorado Springs, so we ought to have a blast!

Thanksgiving

Well, since I haven't done a very good job of keeping up, I suppose I will do this post on the past. For Thanksgiving, my mom was able to fly up on Wed and stay until Sunday evening. She was the first person, besides the "local" peeps that got to see our new pad, and she really liked it. We had a really good time. We headed over to Patti and Bill's (for those of you who don't know, that is my in-laws) for football and food. It was great, and it was also really nice to have that time off of work.
Jasmine (our dog/kid) :) took quite the liking to mom and slept with her on our guest bed every night she was here.
AND it snowed on Wed just for mom's visit, so she got to see some pretty snow-capped mountains and rooftops, which was fun since where she came from in AR, it was in the 70s when she left the airport! And she came here to highs in the 20s and 30s!
Ok, so hopefully, I will get better at these posts as I do them more often as well. But this is all I have, for now. :)
